Green Peas Rice

   (Mame Gohan)





3 cup rice (kome)
300g green peas, with shell or 150g without shell (endou)
50g dried young sardin (chirimen-jako)
5cm dried kelp (dashi-kobu)

1  tsp salt (shio)

chirimen-jako
3 tbsp sake

1. Shell peas and wash.
2. Boil peas in hot salt water and drain.
3. Wash rice, dain and soak with water in rice cooker with dried kelp for 30 minutes. Add salt, sake and young sardin and cook.
4. When rice is cooked, put peas in rice cooker, cover lid and leave as it is for 20 minutes.
