Beef Stewed in Soy-flavored Broth

300g sliced beef (gyuuniku) |

20g ginger (tsuchi-shouga) |

3 tbsp sugar (satou) |

|
3 tbsp sake |
|
|
3 tbsp soy sauce (shouyu) |

4 young stems of Japanese pepper (kinome) |

|
1. Peel ginger and cut into thin strips.
2. Heat the pan and place beef breaking into flakes. Add half of ginger
strips.
3. Add sugar and mix. Then add sake, soy sauce and ginger left over.
* Always cook over high heat when parching and mixing.
